A FEW TIPS FOR SUMMER PERFUMING

Before you leave, it’s time to get organized and take stock. Here are a few tips for safe perfuming this summer.

1) APPLY YOUR PERFUME AT NIGHT

We recommend that you only apply perfume in the evening. A luminous fragrance on your sun-warmed skin, after a refreshing shower, will be the height of refinement.

2) ON CLOTHES AND HAIR

If you’re going to be out in the sun, apply fragrance to your clothes or hair.

3) MOISTURIZE

Use a high-performance sun cream and moisturize your skin, which will retain the fragrance better.

WHERE ARE YOU GOING THIS SUMMER?

This summer I’m going to the island of Pantelleria, near Sicily. I love traveling and discovering new places, new cultures, new tastes, new landscapes, and all the flora they offer. I love exploring and discovering.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE THING TO DO IN THE SUMMER?

I love going to the beach, enjoying the sea, snorkeling and relaxing. My summer vacations are always full of beautiful memories.

WHAT’S YOUR VACATION SCENT?

This year it’s jasmine, Mediterranean scrub, maritime pines, mastic and broom. I cherish seaside destinations, where energizing ozonic notes mingle with invigorating aromatic plants!

A BOOK, ARTIST OR PODCAST TO RECOMMEND?

I’m delighted to discover “Par le bout du nez – Une histoire intime des odeurs” published by Calmann-Levy. It’s an autobiographical essay by perfume journalist Sarah Bouasse, who explores the importance of scent in our lives. She invites us to raise our noses and restore the sense of smell to its rightful place in our experience of the world. It speaks to me!
